Edward Tompkins, 64, of Rt. 1, Valders, died Friday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Carl Peters will officiate with burial in Valders West Cemetery.

Mr. Tompkins was born May 4, 1912, at Minot, N.D., son of the late Henry and Matena Nelson Tompkins. He attended Cedar Grove School in the Town of Liberty and Valders High School. He married Leona Schleh Oct. 26, 1938, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Mr. Tompkins as a dairy farmer and a member of St. Nazianz Lions Club, Farm Bureau and Holstein Breeders Assn.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Diane) Hickmann, of Kiel and Mrs. Joseph (Carol) Matthies, of Manitowoc; two brothers, Harold and Nelson, of Manitowoc and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
