MINNIE HALVERSON

Mrs. Halvor Herbert Halverson, 67, died at her home at 1414A Division Street Thursday afternoon after suffering a stroke.

Mrs. Halverson, nee Wilhelmina (Minnie) Behnke, was born in 1883 in Collins. In 1901 she was married to Mr. Halverson in Collins and the couple lived there until 1924 when it moved to Quarry. Mr. Halverson died in 1925. Mrs. Halverson came to Manitowoc in 1929.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Norman Thompson of route 1, Manitowoc, Mrs. Clarence Haese of Milwaukee and Mrs. Merle Dueno of Manitowoc; a son, Clarence of Manitowoc; a brother, Adolph Behnke of Manitowoc and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First German Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from Sunday noon until 10 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church. Burial will be in the Valders West church cemetery.
