MARY ALFSON

Mrs. Mary Alfson, 95, of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, and formerly of Valders, died Saturday morning, April 4, at the home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Revs. Oz Twedt and Carl Peters will officiate and burial will be in Valders West Cemetery.
Mrs. Alfson was born Dec. 8, 1885, in Brown County, and was married to Albert Alfson March 10, 1905. She had worked for Nestle Company, Valders, for more than 30 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Women and Valders American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Eileen of Manitowoc and Leonard and Marie of Clarks Mills; three daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Raymond Free of rural Manitowoc, Mildred and Robert Schad of Mishicot and Luella and Clarence Espen of West Bend; 16 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Her husband, two daughters and 13 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock this Monday evening and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
