ALETTA M. ALFSTAD

Mrs. Aletta Martina Alfstad, 80, of Valders, died Monday evening at
the home of her daughter following a four months’ illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church
(West). The Rev. Robert A. Onkka will officiate and burial will be in
the church cemetery.
She was born May 1, 1882, in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late
Ole and Gurai Gilbertson Anderson. She was married to Thomas Alfstad at
Valders West Church in 1903 and the couple farmed in the Town of Liberty.
Her husband died in 1940. She was a lifelong member of the church and a
member of the Ladies Aid of the congregation.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Christel of Valders and Mrs.
Dudley Fossum of Green Bay; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at the Farley Funeral Home, Valders, from 6 p.m.
Wednesday until noon Thursday when the body will be moved to the
church to lie in state until the hour of service.
