Kenneth J. Delsman, age 91, of 3400 Yorkshire Lane, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. He was born on May 17, 1924 in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late Joseph & Hilda (Zipperer) Delsman Sr. Ken was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1942. On May 25, 1949 he married the former Elaine C. Rank at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Ken was self employed and enjoyed traveling with his wife Elaine, playing cards with family and friends, fishing, going to Las Vegas and other casinos in Wisconsin. The couple made a few trips overseas including New Zealand, Australia, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Paris, Belgium, Germany, Carlesbad Caverns, Canada and Mexico. Survivors include his wife: Elaine Delsman; one brother: David Delsman; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Gwen & Bob Braun, all of Manitowoc, Hector Hunt, Madison; two sisters-in-law: Lorraine Delsman and Ruth Delsman, both of Whitelaw; and a brother-in-law: Donald Rank, Manitowoc. Also surviving are many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Delsman Jr., Howard Delsman; a sister: Janice Hunt; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Robert & Jane Rank, Eugene & Marie Koebke and Jean Rank.Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial of his cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.
