Nancy Lou Yocum April 30, 1928 - Sept. 5, 2006 Nancy Lou Yocum, 78 of Bakersfield, CA was called home to see our Lord Jesus in the early morning hours of September 5, 2006. She was born on April 30, 1928 to Antonio and Provindence Puglisi of Duluth, Minnesota. On April 18, 1952 she asked her one and only love Donald Richard Yocum of Osawatme, KS, to marry her, while he was still serving in the US Navy. Married 54 years, they were blessed with 5 children: Nancy had a truly genuine heart with an infinite capacity for love, and her spirit will never be forgotten. We know her love for her family will endure forever, and she will be greatly missed by all. Lord, you have received a gentle spirit who loved to laugh and always tried to make everyone happy. Now, she is in heaven dancing with angels. She is now in the company of her late daughters: Donna Marie Hamblin and Theresa Lynn Yocum, and grandson Carter Morris. She is survived by her Husband, Donald Richard Yocum; her children: Raymon & (Elaine) Yocum, Bradley & (Suzanne) Yocum, Sandra & (Gino) Valpredo and Fred Hamblin; her nine grandchildren: Wayne Hamblin, Gina & (Steve) Frey, Bradley S. Yocum, Laurel Yocum, Christian Morris, Cole Morris, Nicco Valpredo, and Angelina Valpredo; and 3 great-grandchildren: Ryan Hamblin, Kaitlyn Frey and Amber Frey. Also, surviving, are her two remaining siblings; Carmello Puglisi of Superior WS, and Dolly Carlson of Duluth, MN. A memorial service will be held at the Joshua Tree Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, CA on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 5:00 pm.
