Mr. Berge was born March 25, 1927, in the Town of Cato, son of the late Albert and Dora Berge Berge. He was a 1945 graduate of Valders High School and attended the University of Wisconsin short course in Agriculture. He farmed in the Town of Cato and was also employed as a milk hauler for the Nestle and Whitehouse Milk companies. He married Donna Balza on June 2, 1951 at Grace Lutheran Church, Green Bay. Mr. Berge was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he was actively involved in many church activities. He was loved and will be missed by his wife and family.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul and Mark of rural Reedsville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Schwantes and Debra Lueloff of Valders; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Glenroy Jandry of Reedsville; nine grandchildren, Melissa Meunier, Paul and Chris Schwantes, Nicole, Becki and Shaun Berge; his father-in-law, Clarence Balza of Green Bay and a sister-in-law, Sharon Balza of Green Bay.
Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday to the time of services. Christianson-Deja Funeral home, Valders, is in charge of arrangements.
