Ruth A. Bleck, 92, formerly of Valders, died Friday morning, October 23, 1987 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. Carl Peters will officiate and burial will be in Valders West Cemetery.
Mrs. Bleck was born March 24, 1895 at Valders, daughter of the late Anton and Lena Gigstad Berge. She attended Sunny Crest School. She married Reinbold B.C. Bleck on November 20, 1916 at Valders. Mrs. Bleck was a member of Valders American Legion Auxiliary, American Lutheran Church Women and Faith Lutheran Church Women.
Survivors include a son, Reinbold A.E. Bleck of New London; three brothers, Harold Berge and Orin Berge of Sheboygan and Oley Berge of Fond Du Lac; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Johnston of Whitelaw, Mrs. Marvin (Lenore) Berge of Jevena, Illinois and Mrs. Alice Gram of Waterman, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, October 18, 1951, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, 6 pm to 8 pm Monday and Tuesday to the time of services. Christianson-Deja Funeral home, Valders, is in charge of arrangements.
