Death of Johann Adam Boettger at 1:30 a.m. on 17 Feb. of old age. The deceased
was born 18 Aug. 1813 in Sachsen-Weimar, married Miss Maria Magdelena
Ernestine Baecker in 1840 and came to America with his family in 1852 settling in
Town Liberty. He is survived by 3 children: Hermann Boettger, who runs a hay
and fruit business in Two Rivers, Mrs. Julius Schroeter, and Mrs. Peter Heinz,
17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was buried 20 Feb. in the Waldow
Cemetery in Town Liberty, with Pastor Zanwell delivering the funeral oration.
