Walter Christianson, 85, of Rt. 2, Reedsville, died Saturday evening in Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Faith Lutheran church, Valders. The Rev. Carl Peters will officiate and burial will be in Valders West Cemetery.
Mr. Christianson was born September 13, 1895 in Valders, son of the late Severin and Anna Jackson Christianson. He attended Valders schools and farmed in the rural area most of his life. He married Myrtle Berg September 21, 1921 in Valders West Church. Mr. Christianson was a member of Valders American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Verlin of Rt. 1, Valders, Ralph of Kiel, Richard of Valders and Ronald of Rt. 2, Reedsville; three daughters, Mrs. John (Elmira) Huske of Rt. 1, Valders, Mrs. Orville (Geraldine) Valleskey of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Orlando (Lenore) Olson of West DePere; a sister, Mrs. Irene Berge of Valders; 30 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Four brothers, a sister and two granddaughters preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock this Monday evening.
