Lloyd was born on April 22, 1929, in Manitowoc to the late Arthur and Lydia Lenz Free. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on May 17, 1951. Lloyd served his country in the Korean War until his honorable discharge on February 18, 1953. On January 30, 1954, Lloyd married Geraldine Stenzel at Our Savior"s Lutheran Church in Valders. Geraldine preceded him death on April 12, 1993. On November 21, 1997, Lloyd married Joan Schad at the Manitowoc County Courthouse. Lloyd enjoyed doing carpentry and masonry work, polka music, being Santa for the elderly and special needs individuals and had a passion for horses especially Clyesdales. Above all Lloyd loved spending his time with his family and helping others. Lloyd was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
