ORRIN K. WIGEN

Orrin K. Wigen, age 78, a life long resident of Valders, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2001, at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. William Timm with burial to take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at West Cemetery, Valders.

Orrin was born May 14, 1923 in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Jennie Robinson Wigen. He attended Valders High School, graduating with the class of 1941. On Oct. 24, 1948, Orrin married the former Lucille Pederson at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 2000. Orrin farmed in the Valders area until the mid 60s and was then employed with Manitowoc Engineering Company of Manitowoc for many years. Orrin was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, where he also served as past president. He was also a member of the Valders Lions Club.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Julie Wigen, Valders; three step-granchildren, Nicholas, Charles, and Emma; two sisters, Margie John, Manitowoc, Carol Krull, Washington State; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Reiny Reindl, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. Orrin was also preceded in death by a son, James, Wigen, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dick John and Leonard Krull.

The family will greet relatives and frineds on Monday, June 18, 2001 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m.

The family would like to thank Dr. John MacDonald and the staff of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center and the Moore family of Rosebud Manor, Valders.

The Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
