Lucille N. Wigen, age 76, of Valders, died Friday evening, August 4, 2000, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. William Timm will officiate and burial will follow at Valders West Cemetery.
She was born January 10, 1924, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Hiram and Olga Hanson Pederson. She was a 1941 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On October 24, 1948, she married Orrin Wigen, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. She was employed by the Valders Public School System for 26 years as a Bookkeeper and prior to that she was employed in the office at Sorge Dairy. She was also the Treasurer of Faith Lutheran Church for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church Women, the Valders High School Scholarship Committee, Valders Housing Authority, and various other church and community organizations.
Survivors include her husband, Orrin, Valders; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Julie Wigen, Valders; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Charles and Emma; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Martin Geimer, Manitowoc, Lorraine and Reiny Reindl, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Carol Krull, Washington, and Margie John, Manitowoc. She is further survived by nieces, nephew, other relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by a son, James Wigen.
Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, on Monday, August 7, 2000 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
