Jorgensen, Julia Elise nee Halverson (Dec. 24, 1881-March 4, 1970 –wife of William Jorgensen –daughter of Ole Bergen Halverson [1851-1936] and Ingeborg Johanna Hansdatter [1851-1932] –born in Wisconsin –on Jan. 10, 1929, William and Julia purchased the 78.75-acre Ferdinand Woodcock farm centered at 2530 Hickory Hills Road in Section 32, Town of Rockland –on Oct. 30, 1940, William quit claimed this farm to his wife Julia –I was not able to follow-up on what became of William –was this quit claim due to a divorce? –on Dec. 6, 1962, Julia sold this now 98.25-acre farm to her niece Isabel Versino of Wilmette in Cook County, Illinois, with Julia keeping a life estate on the property –with Julia's death on March 4, 1970, this property was transferred to full to her niece Isabel Versino –died from "congestive heart failure –hypertension") –buried at the West Valders Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Liberty [death record Manitowoc 68-213]

Mrs. Julia Jorgenson, 87, of Rt. 4, Chilton, died Wednesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Onkka will officiate and burial will be in Valders West Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 4 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday and then at church.
