Stenzel Funeral

Funeral services for Walter Stenzel Sr., 58, of Rt. 2, Cato, who died Wednesday while at work at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., of a heart attack, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Onkka will officiate and burial will be in Valders West Cemetery.

Mr. Stenzel was born May 20, 1908, at Chicago, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stenzel. He worked at the shipyards since 1959 and previous to that had been employed at Valders Lime and Stone Co. He married Florence King June 22, 1931, at Manitowoc.

Survivors include the wife, seven sons, David, Charles, William and James, at home, Elmer, of Wrightstown, Edward, of Valders and Walter Jr., of Rt. 1, Valders; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Geraldine) Free, of Rt. 2, Reedsville, and Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Lodle, of Whitelaw; a brother, William, of Hayward, Wis.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Gerald Anderle, of Menominee, Mich. and Miss Bertha Stenzel, of Beaver, Wis. and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 5 p.m. Friday until Saturday noon when the casket will be taken to church where the body lie in state until time of service.
