Swenson, Ole (1796-Sept. 27, 1866 –husband of Bertha Christensdatter –born in Norway –immigrated from Tromoy, Norway to the US in 1849 –on Aug. 13, 1849 purchased the 80 acres of the S1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 11 and the 80 acres of the N1/2 of the NE1/4 of Section 14 both in Town of Eaton and had a farmstead established at 18807 US Highway 151 in Section 14 –on Oct. 20, 1855 sold the western 40 acres of the N1/2 of the NE/4 of Section 14 to Andrew Christopherson and his wife Emily Swenson, with Emily being a daughter of Ole and Bertha –on Sept. 12, 1856 sold the 40 acres on which the farmstead stood to his son Frederick Swenson, with the stipulation that the 40 acres with farmstead could not be sold until after the deaths of Ole and his wife Bertha –this farm was then sold to Ole’s son Omen in 1866 –this farm remains in the Swenson family to this day in 2014 –from July 20, 1855 to Dec. 20, 1859 owned the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the SW1/4 of Section 15, Town of Eaton)
