Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Gaither was the daughter of:
Asa Beall Friarson Gaither
b. Feb. 9, 1824; d. Oct. 30, 1866
and Tabitha Susan Caroline Howard Gaither
b. Nov. 7, 1829; d. Apr. 15, 1902
They had 4 children:
1. Angeline Drucilla Gaither,
2. William Henry Clay Gaither,
3. Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Beall Gaither
4. John A. Burgess Gaither
"Lizzie" Beall Gaither married Lt. William C. Marable, CSA soldier from VA and they had 3 children:
1. Benjamin Beall Marable b. NC
2. Susan "Sudie" Caroline Marable Scales b. Texas
3. Eufaula Buckner Marable b. Navarro County, Texas b. July 13, 1876; d. when 3 y.o. Oct. 1879

They lived and farmed in Upshur Co, Texas until their split in in aprox.1880. Wm C. Marable died in 1882. She moved back to NC with the children and then to Danville, Va where in 1890 she married Pvt. Elbert Madison Williamson [b. Aug. 28, 1835 d. Jun. 28, 1935]. They built a beautiful house at 137 Holbrook Ave that has been restored and still stands today in all it's splender.They lived out their lives in Danville, VA.; both are buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Danville city, Pittsylvania, VA
