Alyce King Clarke was born Alyce Golda Driggs in Payson, Utah on August 14, 1915.

Alyce was one of the original members of The King Sisters singing group. Alyce was a member with her sisters Luise and Maxine. When Maxine decided to marry and stay home to raise her children, Donna and Yvonne joined the group. The youngest sister, Marilyn started as a substitute for the other sisters when they were having children. When Donna "retired", Marilyn joined the other sisters. From the 50's on, the main singers of the King Sisters group were Luise, Alyce, Yvonne and Marilyn.

Alyce performed for six decades (1930's - 1980's) with her sisters and other family members. The King Sisters released records for Blue Bird, RCA Victor, Capitol and Warner Brothers. Their hit, "Imagination" was nominated for a Grammy Award.

The King Sisters group performed on radio and toured the country. The King Sisters appeared most often with the Alvino Rey Orchestra (Luise King's husband), but they also appeared with Horace Heidt, Artie Shaw, Les Brown, Harry James and other bands of the 1940's era.

The King Sisters also appeared in movies in the 1940's, usually as a specialty group. The movies included Thrill of a Romance (see outtakes), Cuban Pete and Sing Your Worries Away.

In the 50's, the King Sisters still toured, released records and also appeared as guests on various TV shows.

The King Family singers, which included the King Sisters, the King Cousins and other family members, had their own TV series, 17 TV specials and recorded more records. They also toured together. The King Family also appeared on other TV programs, such as "The Ed Sullivan Show" and shows with Bing Crosby and Dean Martin. The King Family singers were mainly active in the 1960's and 1970's.

The King Sisters continued to perform into the 1980's and sang at Ronald Reagan's presidential inaugural gala in 1985.

A PBS special called "Christmas With the King Family Reunion Special" was presented in 2009. The King Sisters and The 4 King Cousins were featured in another PBS special in 2015. It was called "Sister Acts" and was part of the "My Music" series.

Alyce married Sydney deAzevedo in 1941 and had 2 sons. Sydney died in 1953.

Alyce married Robert Clarke, an actor, in 1956 and had another son.

Alyce's husband, Robert, was often the announcer and narrator on the King Family Shows. Her sons, Lex, Ric and Cam also were performers on the shows with Lex often doing the musical arrangements.

Alyce died on August 21, 1996 and is buried in Los Angeles, California.
