Donna Sue Scranton, 46, of East Palatka, died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness.
She was born in Pikeville, Ky., and had been a resident of East Palatka for the past 30 years coming from Louisville, Ky. She was the office manager at Pro-Ag in Hastings. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Her life revolved around her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey R. Charles Sr..
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Mike W. Scranton, East Palatka; a son, Chad Aaron Scranton, East Palatka; a daughter, Tracy Dawn Scranton, East Palatka; her mother, Connie Charles, Lakeland; a brother, Dewey R. Charles II, Lakeland; two sisters, Teresa Rose, Lakeland; and Sherry Hammond, Lakeland; a Godchild, Christy Casto, Hollister; a God-granddaughter, Kyndal Casto. Hollister; many other relatives.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 7 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Rev. Keith Hutchinson officiating. A video tribute will be shown. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 6 Jan 2004.)
