Zora's birth name was Missouri but she went by Zora May. She was married 1)to Enoch McClain Bryant, then 2)John England. She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Highland & Mary Fruit.

Zora is listed on the 1860 census in Adair County, Missouri as being one month old (1/12 of a year). The census was taken in July 1860, one day before Zora turning two months old. Before finding this census it was thought that Zora was born in either Terre Haute, Iowa or Terre Haute, Indiana. Her father bought land in Adair County, Missouri in 1857.

MRS. J. C. ENGLAND DEAD
Wife of Sherman County Farmer Succumbs to Blood Poisoning.

Mrs. J. C. England died at the England home in Llanos township at 1 o'clock Monday morning after a short illness, which ended in blood poisoning.
Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday and burial made in Prairie Gem cemetery in Thomas county. Rev. Champan of Thomas county preached the funeral sermon.
The England family has lived in Sherman county for the past four years. The deceased is survived by a husband and nine children, six of whom are living at present under the parental roof, the youngest being the baby for whom the mother gave up her life.
Mrs. England was 47 years of age.
