Alphonsus Liguori Graham:

Alphonsus Graham Retired Government Employee Dies

Alphonsus L. Graham, 74, of 229 F Street, N.E., who worked 34 years for the Government before retiring in 1940, died today at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Graham came to the District from his native St. Martin, Ohio 38 years ago to enter the service. He last served with the Maritime Commission. He was a member of the Ohio State Society of St. Joseph’s Church.

Mass will be offered Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church, Second and C streets, N.E. by the Reverend Father Fred Brew, S.J., nephew of Mr. Graham. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The body will rest at the Lee Funeral Home, Fourth Street and Massachusetts Avenue, N.E., until 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Graham is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Brew Graham of Washington and two brothers, John and Patrick Graham, both of St. Martin, Ohio.

Graham, Alphonsus L. On Thursday, September 28, 1944, at his residence, 229 F Street, N.E., beloved husband of Grace Brew Graham.

Friends may call at the Lee Funeral Home, 4th Street and Mass. Ave., N.E. until 8:30 a.m. Saturday, September 30, thence to St. Joseph’s Church, where Mass will be said at 9 a.m., for the repose of his soul.
