Vevay Man Dies At Home Following Paralytic Stroke
William Rose Cole a well known and respect resident of Vevay, passed away at his home on East Main street Friday from the effect of a stroke of paralysis which he had suffered two days before.
The deceased was a native of this county. He was the son of Isaac and Clarinda Kibbie Cole and was born here February 4, 1863. When a young man he was united in marriage to Miss America Jennings of Vevay and this union continued until her death several years ago. Since that time he had resided with his daughter, Helen. He is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Daisy Evans of Chicago, and leaves a brother, Eaton Cole of Arkansas, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Briggs, of Oregon.
Mr. Cole was a fine old man of high character and held the respect and esteem of all who knew him.
The funeral services, with Rev. Harry Smith of the M.E. Church officiating, were held at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning. Interment was made in the Vevay Cemetery.
