He was the son of the late Donnie Lee Philbee and Joan Elaine Montgomery Philbee and the husband of Lori Mae Williams Philbee.
Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Michael Francis Philbee II of Chesnee; one daughter, Melissa K. Philbee Johnson of Chesnee; three brothers, Donald Lee Philbee of Wisconsin, Timothy John Philbee of Greenville, NC and Phillip Alan Philbee of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Jaxon, Landon, Evan and Dylan.
Visitation was held Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 PM at New Beginnings United Methodist Church 210 Rainbow Lake Rd, Boiling Springs, SC.
A Celebration of Life Service followed at 2:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Terry Fleming.
