AARON – The relatives and friends of Private First Class Marion V Aaron of Lexington, GA; Mr M M Aaron, Lexington; Mr and Mrs Julian Vann, Macon; Mr and Mrs David Barkwell, Wilmington, Del; Mr and Mrs Julian Hall, Dublin; Mr and Mrs John Garner, Stone Mountain; Mr and Mrs Hulon Allen, Ozark, Ala; Mr and Mrs Roy Davis, Macon, GA; Sergeant First Class and Mrs M E Aaron, Fort Benning, GA; Mr. and Mrs George Aaron, Arnoldsville, GA; and Mr. and Mrs. T. V. Coffey of Comer, GA, are invited to attend the funeral of Private First Class Marion V Aaron this Sunday afternoon, November 4, 1951; from the Stephens Grove Baptist Church at two-thirty o'clock. Rev. Jesse Knight, pastor of the Winterville Baptist Church, will officiate. Mr. Ray Harrison, Mr Don Christy, Mr Zane Morgan, Mr Bill Portwood, Mr Joe Mewborne, Mr Hosea Stewart, Mr Paul Butts and Mr Franklin Lacount will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will be in Stephens Grove Cemetery. Bridges Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Stephens Grove Baptist Church for Pfc. Marion V Aaron, who was killed in action in Korea March 16, this year.

Conducting the services was Rev. Jesse Knight, pastor of Winterville Baptist Church and burial was in Stephens Grove Cemetery. Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pall-bearers were Ray Harrison, Zane Morgan, Joe Newborn, Paul Butts, Don Christy, Bill Portwood, Mosea Steward, and Franklin LaCount.

Pfc. Aaron is survived by his father, M M Aaron, Lexington; mother, Mrs. Julian Vann, Macon; five sisters, Mrs. David Barkwell, Wilmington, Del, Mrs. Julian Hall, Dublin, GA, Mrs. John Garner, Stone Mountain, GA., Mrs. Hulon Allen, Ozark, Ala, and Mrs. Roy Davis, Macon; two brothers, Sgt. Ic. M. E. Aaron, Ft. Benning, GA, and George E Aaron, Arnoldsville; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T V Coffey, Comer.

Pfc Aaron, native of Oglethorpe county and resident of near Lexington, volunteered and entered the service 18 months before his death in Korea. He was 18 years old and was killed when a shell exploded near his mortar. He was
serving with Company H (heavy weapons company) of the First Cavalry, Fifth Regiment. He attended Lexington High School prior to entered service and was
very popular in his home community.

Private First Class Aaron was a Heavy Weapons Infantryman with the 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. "Buddy" was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy during "Operation Ripper" in South Korea on March 16, 1951. Private First Class Aaron was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
