Ted was in college in Iowa. About 12:30am, (early Sunday morning) Nov. 20, 1955 his car hit a bridge at high speed. Ted was thrown through the windshield about 100 feet. It is believed that he fell asleep while driving. He was in a coma and never regained consciousness.
