James Mathew Albritton, 94, of Sweeny passed from this life on January 5, 2016 at Matagorda Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bay City. He was born in Farmerville, Louisiana to Earl and Ossie Albritton on October 8, 1921.

Jim served in the United States Navy during WW II. He worked for Phillips Petroleum as an operator for 36 years. He also was very involved in getting Little League Baseball started in Sweeny. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eutabelle; son, James Earl and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Chris Albritton and wife, Rosie and Laura Albritton ; great grandchildren, Ashley and Alexia Albritton.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Faye Albritton; and sister, Ella Faye Albritton.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Sweeny Church of Christ with Ken Hysten officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Sweeny Cemetery.
