WOONSOCKET- Albert J. Carey, 86, of Woonsocket died Monday March 24, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center.

Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Lionel W. and Olivia Eva (Lambert) Carey. He was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mr. Carey was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy Class of 1945. He was employed in the local textile industry at sever­al area firms including J.C. Lafond. He was a longtime communi­cant of St. Joseph's Parish and enjoyed watching sports. He is survived by a brother Raymond D. Carey of Arizona and was the brother of the late Conrad Carey. He is also sur­vived by three nephews Roger, Paul and Robert Carey and their families.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham will be private at a later date.
