Marion Melerine Nash entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the age of 72. She was the cherished mother of Jennifer Lehrmann. Mother-in-law of Ronnie “Mann” Lehrmann. Loving grandmother of Kristen Vincent and Peyton Lehrmann. Daughter of the late Adam and Edna Campo Melerine. Sister of Adeline Landry (the late Freddie) and Claude “Corky” Melerine (Linda). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marion was a lifelong resident of Delacroix Island and a resident of Kenilworth, LA since 2005. She worked in the cafeteria at Sebastian Roy School and was a longtime school crossing guard for Sebastian Roy and Gauthier Elementary School. Marion truly enjoyed her job and rarely missed a day of work. Helping the children and interacting with them gave her great joy and the children loved her also.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2805 Bayou Rd., St. Bernard, LA on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
