LUCILLE GURKA BLAZEK, 89, born December 13, 1916 in Chappell Hill, TX died September 9, 2006 in Houston, TX. Mrs. Blazek was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society of Christ the King and the North Main Coalition Food Pantry. Mom had a lifelong strong faith in God that extended to all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Rundzieher and husband John, Mary Maduzia and husband Clifford; grandchildren, Cliff Maduzia, Karen Greene, Sarah Maduzia, Vicki Fowler and Cara McConnell; great-grandchildren, Sarah Brindley, Chris Maduzia, Allie Maduzia, Trista McConnell and Felisha Greene; siblings, Victoria Zievert, Edward Gurka, Gertrude Hairston, Christine Stacks, S.P. Gurka, Leona McVicar and Elnora Lewandowski. Lucille is also survived by her best friend, Alice Kasoski. Friends are invited to visitation on Monday, September 11, 2006 from 5-8 pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm in the Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at St. Anne De Beaupre Catholic Church, 2810 Link Rd., Houston, TX 77009, with Rev. Emmanuel Esukpa M.S.P, celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. For those desiring, memorials can be made in her memory to St. Anne De Beaupre Catholic Church. We will miss you "Manga", "Cut Up", "Busha" and "Jocha".
