Died
The sad intelligence of the death of Mrs. L. M. Grizzard, nee Lulu Brown, at Abilene (Taylor Co), reached this city this morning, and has cast a gloom over her many friends in this city. It was here that the deceased passed her girlhood days, and it was here where she became the wife of he who has always been a kind and loving husband. Her father and mother, Capt. T. J. Brown and wife, were with her at the last moment, and she passed away in the presence of those who loved her best, although no one knew her but to respect and admire.
Her remains will be brought to this city tomorrow and on the following day will be laid away in the quiet city of the dead. The Register offers its sympathies to the bereaved parents and relatives in this, their hour of sorrow.
NOTE: She was the wife of Dr. Luther A. Grizzard from TN and the daughter of Texas Supreme Court Justice Thomas Jefferson Brown and Louise T. Estes.
