Brenda K. Brent, 65. of Vandalia, Ill. died Friday, January 8, 2016 at
Carbondale Memorial Hospital. She was born September 3, 1950 in
Poplar Bluff, Mo. to the late Edward J. Brent and Elizabeth Meyer
Brent. Brenda had been a long time resident of the Poplar Bluff area
before moving to Illinois. She was a secretary for medical records at the
Jewish Hospital for the Aged. She enjoyed doing crafts, playing bingo,
knitting and crocheting. She was a very kind hearted person to people
and animals. She is survived by four brothers, Keith Brent of Poplar
Bluff, Chester Brent of Bridgeston, Mo., Joe Brent of St. Louis, Jack
Brent of Wentzville, Mo. and two sisters, Lenetta Jones of Piggott, Ark.
and Cynthia Jackson of St. Peters, Mo.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cal Brent
and one sister Betty Seabaugh.Visitation will be at 11 A.M. Thursday at
Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel followed by the funeral service at 12
P.M. The Rev. Calvin Buhler will officiate. Burial will be at Carola
Cemetery in Oglesville, Mo.
