Mary Ann Turbutt Robins Goldsborough is the daughter of Foster Turbutt and his wife Bridgett of Kent and Talbot Counties, Maryland. Her first marriage on July 9, 1730 at St. Peter's Parish was to John Robins (1709-1740), son of Thomas Robins. After Mr. Robins' death, Mary married Robert Goldsborough (1704-1777) on July 8, 1742. Although both Mary and this Robert Goldsborough are identified as being interred in the Ashby-Goldsborough Family Cemetery, neither has an extant headstone or other marker.

The inscription below Wliiam Goldsborough 1750-1801 reads "His Wife" as best as I am able to read it. However, Mary Ann Turbutt Goldsborough was in fact his sister.
