Son of Meredith Burgess and Matilda Farley.

The 1850 Logan WV census has Meredith 53 and Matilda Burgess 50, Nancy 23, Elizabeth 16, Thomas 13, Julia Ann 10, John W 8, Martha J 6, Geo W 4, James W 2, Fernades 21 and Mary J 18.
I believe this to be George with his Parents and siblings.

1870 Logan WV- George 22 and Roxy 18 only.

1900 Boone county WV - George is 55 Roxy 50 with children Charlotte, Zatto, Emmitt, Lewis, Ella Walter, and Gracie.

1910 Boone - George 66 Roxie 59 Ella 22 Walter 17 and Gracie 14.

1920 Chapmanville Logan WV George 75 Roxie 69 son Emmitt 36.

The 1930 Boone county WV census is the last one George and Roxie are together. He is 85 and she is 79.
