Hattie (Laughman) Lehigh, 94, passed peacefully, Monday, April 16, 2007, at Hanover Hall.

Born September 25, 1912, in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late George and Alverta (Null) Laughman.

Hattie was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, York St., Hanover. She was employed with Hanover Cordage for a number of years and later, with the Revonah Spinning Mill for 22 years, until her retirement.

Surviving are three sons, Paul M. "Pete" Lehigh and his wife, Hazel of Hanover, Robert B. Lehigh and his wife, Patricia of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Richard E. Lehigh and his wife, Sandra of Riverview, Fla.; one daughter, Ferne E. Dull and her companion, Ken Beard of McSherrystown; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Alverta Laughman, Bessie Miller, Irene Wolf, Elsie Stair, and Margie Leese; three brothers, Walter Laughman, Roy Laughman, and Lloyd C. Laughman; and two half brothers, Raymond McKonley and Harry Stambaugh.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. A viewing will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. A second viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and will run until the time of the service. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Lehigh, Mitchell Lehigh, Robert Kuhn, Jr., Michael Kuhn, Joseph Kuhn, and Ken Beard.
