Mrs. James Connors Sr. died at her home in Argyle on Sunday, Sept. 17, after a long illness, aged 85 years.
The deceased was born in Ireland in 1826 and her maiden name was Mary Stanton. She was married to James Connors while they yet lived in Ireland. They emigrated to America in their youth and lived in Janesville for a time and then came to the town of Adams where they raised a family, and where the husband died.
A number of years ago she bought a home in Argyle and lived here until her death. One child died and there are two sons and two daughters living. Father McNulty conducted the funeral services in St. Joseph's church at 7 am on Tuesday, and the interment took place at the old Catholic cemetery in Monroe.
