Funeral services will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Morristown, on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Michael L. Schuette officiating.
Interment at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Adolph A., the son of Louis and Alma (Zimmerman) Hagel, was born on December 12, 1922 in Morristown Township, Rice County. He married Susan Brunner on June 17, 1999 in Alaska. Adolph farmed in the Morristown area, drove school buses for Morristown School District, worked at Schwartz Hardware Store, Morristown and was a handyman. He enjoyed playing euchre, camping, fishing and tinkering.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; six children, Joan (Hagel) Boyd of Northfield, Jerry (and Linda) Hagel of Montgomery, Jeff (and Jean) Hagel of Waterville, John Hagel of Waterville, Kevin (and Melody) Hagel of Owatonna and Cheryl (Hagel) Rude of Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great, great grandson; the mother of his five oldest children, Jeannette Marley of Preston and Cheryl’s mother, Virginia; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy; four sisters, Rosella Mensing, Adella Berntson, Agatha Rinehart and Pearl Butler; one grandson and one great grandson, both in infancy.
