Ole W. Valentine, retired marine engineer and father-in-law of San Anselmo city controller Alfred Kaeppel, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Valentine, 69, had been employed for 30 years by the Moore-McCormack Lines Inc. of San Francisco. During World War II, he served with the Navel Reserve aboard transports.
He was a native of Wisconsin. He and his wife had made their home during the past year with their daughter and son-in-law at 226 Orange Blossom Lane, Terra Linda.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, and one brother, M.S. Valentine of Panama City, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, San Anselmo. Entombment will be at Mt. Tamalpais Mausoleum, San Rafael.
