Born Jan. 15, 1938, in Claysburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Feathers) Dively.
Her husband, Delmar E. Brown, preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1980.
She is survived by the following eight children: Ronald L. Brown Sr. and wife, Deborah, of Mifflin; Erma Harr and husband, Michael, of Pleasantville; Dale R. Brown, of Meridian, Miss.; Gail D. Brown, of New Bloomfield; Boyd T. Brown and wife, Wendy, of Port Royal; Wanda J. Spade, of Port Royal; Adam W. Brown and wife, Antoinette, of Meridian, Miss.; and Barbara L. Zimmerman, of Mifflintown.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as four siblings, John Dively, of Williamsburg, Richard Dively, of Claysburg, Raymond Dively, of Florida, and Lena Billy, of Ohio.
Lona was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson, Chad K. Zimmerman.
Mrs. Brown owned and operated the former Brown's Greenhouse in Port Royal.
She was a member of the Ski Gap Independent Baptist Church in Claysburg.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at the Rex Funeral Home in Port Royal with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating.
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Rex Funeral Home.
