Robert Connell Maxton, age 85, of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, passed away July 29, 2015. He joins his son, Robert Craig Maxton. Bob was born on April 14, 1930, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the son of John Edward Maxton (1900 - 1995) and Helen Gertrude (Connell) Maxton (1908 - 2002). He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University, in 1952. He served in the Korean War as a 1st Lieutenant, United States Army, from 1953-1955. He was the Director of Metallurgical Engineering at Minneapolis Electric Company in Columbia Heights, and was a member of American Association of Metals, American Foundry Society, Mining and Metals, instrumental in vacuum molding.

Bob loved traveling and family. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ruth Maxton; daughter, Karen (Jim) Anderson; son, George Edward (Karen Marie). Memorials preferred to Shriner's Hospital for Children. Entombment at Sunset. Memorial service Friday at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th Ave NW, New Brighton, MN.
