Funeral services for Charlie A. King, retired Lake Providence, La., towing and sand and gravel firm owner, will be held at 2 p.m. in Lake Providence.
Mr. King. former United States Engineers' casting plant foreman at Greenville, died in Lake Providence at 3 p.m. Thursday after a long illness.
Born in Crestview, Fla., he lived in Greenville about 10 years and after retirement from the Engineers established the Lake Providence Sand and Gravel Company and a towing business which he operated until his retirement about a year and a half ago.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Minnie Lee King, and a son, Charlie Lee King of Lake Providence; three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Settles of Antler, Okla., Mrs. Warren Keel and Mrs. Berry Meadows, both of Lake Providence and seven grandchildren. He also leaves four brothers, including Potrer King, 336 Louise St., and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alec King, Greenville.
