JEANNETTE MARIE MILLS, 85, of Big Pool, Md., passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at her home. Born Jan. 7, 1931, in Westminster, Md., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Edward Ness Sr. and Hilda Grace (Bollinger) Ness.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Eugene Mills, on July 1, 2003.

She was a homemaker and a member of Mooresville Church of God in Big Pool, where she was actively involved and served numerous positions throughout the church.

Jeannette is survived by two sons, Kenneth Millsof Big Pool, and Edward Mills of Clear Spring; a daughter, Dolores Lourden, of Boonsboro; a special sister whom she raised, Josephine Parker of Mount Airy, Md.; sisters, Lydia Cadle, Baltimore, and Ann Baker, Cumberland; a brother, Francis Ness, Baltimore; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Services will be held at Mooresville Church of God, Big Pool. Interment will follow in Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool.
