Obituary for Mrs. James Goldsmith--Emporia Gazette, Mar 14, 1960, p. 2 col. 3--Mrs James Goldsmith Dead--Mrs. James Goldsmith, Admire, the mother of William Goldsmith, 920 Walnut St., died Sunday at her home in Admire.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Admire Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Clyde S. Clark, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Emporia. Burial will be in the Admire Cemetery. The Austin Funeral Home, Eskridge, has charge of arrangements.
Elnora Campbell, daughter of Edward and Mary Ann Nickelson Campbell, was born April 3rd, 1885, in Garnett. She married Mr. Goldsmith Nov. 27th, 1900, at Lyndon. They had lived in the Miller-Admire community for 47 years. Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Irene Moore, of the home; three sons, James, Valley Center, Richard, Newton, and William, Emporia; four other daughters, May Parks, Utica, Edna Anslinger, Osage City, Gladys Haney, Topeka, Betty Miller, Admire; a brother Jack Campbell, Ottawa; two half-brothers and two half-sisters, James Morehead, Bertha Whitmore and Mrs. Georgie Gibbs, Osage City, and Gene Morehead, Urbana, Mo., 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
