Obituary for Dayrl L. Ford
Dayrl was born October 18, 1942 in Reno, Nevada, after a long, hard fight with multiple health problems he died March 29th, he was 72. His entire family was blessed with being able to visit with him and care for him in the days before he passed.

He is survived by his twin brother Dennis Ford and Dennis' wife Joann; his sister Pat March and her husband Paul. Dayrl has four children; two from his first marriage, Kori Rotolo and Kimm Maldonado (Roman), and Raymond Cervantes and Angel Reed (Craig) from a later marriage that he helped raise from small children to today. Together they gave him 7 wonderful grandkids.

Dayrl lived many years in the Sacramento area and in his younger years worked for Safeway Stores as a head meat cutter. His love of fast cars lead to Drag Racing, having his own dragster and eventually into the world of building engines. He then opened his own machine shop, the first called Dayrl Ford’s Machine Shop and later Bridgeman Engine. His passion for constant learning, propelled him into writing computer programs during the infancy of personal computers. After closing his business, he went to work with his brother Dennis at Windford Windows’s writing software.

After retiring he moved to St George Utah. He loved to drive through the beautiful landscape of Utah, taking anyone who visited him to the Grand Canyon. He moved back to Sacramento this past Thanksgiving due to his worsening health and to be with family.
