Semrad died Friday in a local nursing home. He was born May 4, 1896 in Plissen Neb. to Vaclav and Marie Zeman Semrad. He moved with his parents to a farm near Marshall at an early age.
He married Agnes Rose Parizek April 20, 1920, in Yukon. The couple farmed near Bison, later moving to a farm south of Enid. Following their retirement in 1961, they moved to Enid.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and an honorary lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a son and daughter.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Handley, Enid, Mrs. A. S. (Lillian) Handley, Hennessey, and Alice Semrad, Milwaukee; three sons, Raymond Semrad, Minneapolis, Lawrence Semrad, Dallas, and Gene Semrad, Enid; two brothers, John Semrad, Panhandle, Texas, and Joe Semrad, Hope, N. D.; three sisters, Mrs. C.V. (Anna) Milacke, Waukomis, Mrs. Leo J. (Agnes) Reinkemeyer, Fayetteville, Ark., and Mrs. Lillian Morgan, Tulsa; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial fund contributions may be made to the Center of Family Love at Okarche with the funeral home serving as custodian.
