Her marriage to Carl R. Handley ended with his death in 1954.
Mrs. Handley was a registered licensed practical nurse, taking her training at Blackwell. She returned to Enid and was an employee of St. Mary's Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1969, then later working at National Manor.
Mrs. Handley was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter no. 36.
She is survived by a son, A. S. Handley of Hennessey; a daughter, Mrs. Audine Nykorchuk of Pittsfield, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Bess Hartman, Washington, Mo.; a brother, Dan Patterson of San Francisco, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. As son Duane Handley died Aug. 8, 1963.
Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Saturday in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Snell officiating. She will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery at Oklahoma City with Brown's in charge. The body will lie in state until time of service and the casket will remain closed after the service.
