DODGE CITY----Billie Louise (Allphin)Hawkins,87, died Saturday, January 16,2016 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.

She was born August 15,1928 at Dodge City, the daughter of Carl and Alphia(Davis)Allphin. She was a lifetime Dodge City resident and a graduate of Dodge City High School.

On March 30,1949 she married Wayne Weaver Hawkins at Dalhart, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 22,2014.

She had worked at Speed King Manufacturing and owned and operated Wild Bill's Curio and Gift Shop in Dodge City with her husband. She stayed active and independent until the time of her passing. She loved doing things for others and cared deeply for those in and around her life.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Robert of Dodge City, Mike and wife Jane of Winfield,and John and wife Amanda of Andover; 3 daughters, Susie Faulds and companion Janie Gregg of Dodge City, Debbie Neier of Scottsdale,Arizona, and Teri Wagner and husband John of Dodge City; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Tracy Scott Hawkins in 2001 and a sister,Geraldine Nevins.

A private family service will take place at a later date. Cremation took place.

Memorials to the Ford County Humane Society in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
