Heart attack proves to be fatal to 75 year-old county lady
A heart attack proved fatal to Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wilson Meador at 4 o'clock, at her home in the New Hope community. Mrs. Meador had been suffering of a heart condition for the past several months and had been hospitalized a number of times recently for treatment.
The daughter of Alfred M. and Matilda Wyles Wilson, Mrs. Meador was born in the Oakland community March 17, 1880. In 1904 she married to Carter I. Meador to which union nine children were born, all surviving.
She was a member of the Oakland Methodist Church.
Funeral services were conducted from the home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with her pastor, Rev Claude Hale, officiating. Burial was made in the family cemetery near the home with Goodwin Funeral Directors in charge.
Survivors are the husband, nine children, Parks W. Christian County, Mrs. Jesse Turner and Claude Meador, Hopkinsville, Ernest and Wilford Meador, city, Mrs. Leslie Broadbent, Mrs. Alta Duncan and Alfred Meador, of the county, Mrs. Nell Morrow, Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, A. M. Wilson, city and Prentice Wilson, county, four sisters, Mrs. Vernon Thomas, city, Mrs. Jim Thompson, Benton, Mrs. Averitt Sumner, city and Mrs. Irus Averitt, Hopkinsville; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. {unknown newspaper obit}
