Inez Ashley Drinkwater, 91, passed away Thursday, January 14 at Franklin Foundation Hospital. She was born September 7, 1924 at Bayou Chene, La. and was a longtime resident of Centerville, La. Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, 5 - 8 PM at Ibert's Mortuary, Franklin, La. and from 1-2 PM Monday, January 18, at Calvary Bible Church in Centerville with service to follow at 2 PM. Interment will be in Centerville Presbyterian Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Gail of Centerville and Jacqueline Drinkwater Maginnis of Baton Rouge; one son David Lee and wife Judy of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Deana Drinkwater Young (Michael), Benjamin Drinkwater (Stephanie), Olivia Drinkwater, Elizabeth Drinkwater Singer (Talmadge), Christine Drinkwater, Caroline Drinkwater Eenigenburg (Jon), and Juliane Drinkwater Brentlinger (Craig); 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; Maisie Bunch Ashley, Sharon Endicott Drinkwater White and Karen Bourgoyne Drinkwater; and one brother-in-law, Charles Elza Drinkwater.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ray; a son, James Earl; her parents, James Newton and Carrie Alberta Mire Ashley; one sister, Bernice; and five brothers, Roy, Fred, Calvin, Victor, and Eddie
