Frank R. Fabrizi, 87, most recently of Chenango Bridge, NY, and formerly of Johnson City, NY, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife, Cecelia of nearly 52 years in May 2012; his parents, Joseph and Carmella Fabrizi, Endicott; siblings, Joseph Fabrizi Jr., Rose Lupo, Anna Mae Hayes. He is survived by his immediate family: son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter: James, Cheryl and Anya Fabrizi, and son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren: Daniel, Renee, Lauren and Corey Fabrizi; all of Binghamton, NY; brother-in-law, Enrico Lupo, Sterling Heights, MI; and sister-in-laws, Anna Ziemba and Mary Zielewicz, of Johnson City, NY. His family also included a special nephew, Steve and Francie Zielewicz, Endwell; additional nephews and nieces, Roseanne and Tom Sullivan, Johnson City and Mark and Michele Zielewicz, Endicott, Tom and Karen Zielewicz, Endicott; Barb and Andy Mihalko, East Maine; Ron and Aileen Zielewicz, Newark Valley; Richard and Karen Zielewicz, Brackney, PA; Bob and Karen Zielewicz, Johnson City; Ed and Deb Zielewicz, East Maine; Malaine and Tom Jarvie, Branford, CT; Paul and Holly Trecoske, Montrose, PA; Richard and Linda Ketzak, Greene; Linda and Earl Drake, Johnson City; Kathy and Mark Deyo and Joann and Del Belardinelli, both of Florida; Lisa and John De Leo, New Jersey; and Bernadette Romita, Anita and Dan Ewart, Rick Lupo, Denise Lupo and Anthony Lupo, all Detroit, MI area; several cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was born and raised on Bermond Avenue, Endicott, and went to work at the age of 16 at Endicott-Johnson in the shoe warehouse until his retirement 46 years later. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War conflict and was stationed in Germany, and played baseball on the Endicott-Johnson employee team. He met his wife, also an Endicott-Johnson employee, while roller skating at the Endicott-Johnson Pavilion; together they resided on Brown Street, Johnson City and raised their two sons. He was member of the American Legion, Post 758, Johnson City, and a long-time member of Church of the Holy Trinity, (formerly St Stanislaus Kostka Church), Prospect St., Binghamton. The family will receive friends and relatives at Laskowski Funeral Home on Friday, January 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. On Saturday, January 23, a 9:30 a.m. service will be held at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Christian mass at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton and burial in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in his name to St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Inc., PO Box 735, Johnson City, NY 13790.
