Died peacefully on January 18, 2016 at the age of 70. Judith was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Edna Achtor and grandson Cody Bohn. Beloved mother of Kimberly (Jay) Porter, Tracy (Kevin) Bohn and David (Mary) Maerker. Loving sister of Gerald (Ramona) Achtor and Thomas (BetteJane) Achtor. Dear grandma Mimi to Anthony and Kelsey Aliota, Jennifer (Zach), Joseph (Lauren) and Robert Porter, Emily and Joshua Bohn, Brittney, Kathryn and Madison Maerker and Austin and Autumn Porter. Cherished great grandmother of Ariella, Olivia and Westin. Judy was the beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many other relatives and friends; especially Georgia Wieseler. Judith was the 1965 Miss Wisconsin-Universe. While raising her children, she received her Bachelors of Nursing degree from UW-Milwaukee in 1979 and her Masters degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1987. Judy worked at Family Hospital and Milwaukee County General Hospital before becoming a nursing instructor at the Milwaukee County Medical Complex and a nurse educator at MATC before retirement in 2010. She loved being around family and friends, gardening and bird watching at her home. What really made her heart smile, was all of the outdoor activities at her Northwood's cottage with her family. Judy was especially fond of Muskie fishing and loved trips to Canada. The family wishes to thank the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for their kindness and support. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 22 from 6 to 8 PM. Additional visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23 from 10 AM until the celebration of Judy's life at 11 AM. Private family graveside services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Wildlife in Need Center, Oconomowoc.
